Methods of Payment
We accept all major credit and debit cards except American
Express
Your payment details are processed by a specialist online
payment provider. Your card details are not viewed or stored
in any form by The Italian Wine Society.
Delivery
Our standard delivery charge is £5.99 per delivery, with
a minimum order of 6 bottles per order. This charge applies
to addresses in the UK mainland, with the exception of the
Scottish Highlands. There is a supplementary charge of £15
to addresses in the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and
UK Islands. We regret that we do not deliver to the Channel
Islands or overseas.
Delivery will normally take place within 3 working days of
your order. If you have not received your delivery within
5 working days of your order being taken, please contact our
customer services.
Unfortunately we are unable to specify an exact day or time
of delivery. If you are not in when we try to deliver, then
a card will be left through your door and our couriers will
make two further attempts to redeliver the wine. If both of
these are unsuccessful, another card will be left and the
wine will be held at a local collection centre for a further
7 working days. If you do not collect the wines within this
time then the order will be returned to the Italian Wine Society
and you will be responsible for re-organising the collection.
If you would like your delivery to be made to an address
other than you home/billing address (such as a work address)
please indicate this on the "Delivery Address" section.
If you wish us to delivery an address where there will be
nobody in to receive the delivery and you would like us to
leave it in a safe place, you do so at your own risk.
Please complete the separate delivery option at checkout,
giving precise details of where the wine is to be left.
Please note we can only deliver to UK addresses with a postcode.
We are not able to delivery to P.O. Boxes or BFPO addresses.
Cancellations / Collections / Returns
We consider your satisfaction with our products and service
to be of utmost importance. With this in mind if you are dissatisfied
with the purchase you have made or the service you have received,

In the unlikely event that your wine is damaged on arrival
or if the wrong wine has been delivered to you, please contact
customer service and we will arrange for collection and reimbursment.
We will reimburse you within 30 days from the date you notify
us, once the wines have been collected by our carrier, returned
to us and inspected.
Unfortunately from time to time wines may arrive out of condition,
usually due to an entirely natural phenomenon of being "corked".
If you find a bottle where this is the case please contact
customer services immediately and we will organise reimbursment.
You may wish to cancel your order for whatever reason, in
which case you may do so within 7 working days from receiving
the wine, provided the bottles are unopened and intact, and
in their original packaging (which must still be in its original
condition). Once the goods are collected and inspected, we
will reimburse you for the cost of the wine. Unfortunately
we are unable to reimburse the delivery charge if you decide
to cancel your order. If you fail to make the goods available
for collection within 30 days of cancellation, you will be
deemed to have accepted the goods.
Security Reassurance
Security is of utmost importance for the users of our website.
We only use a secure site, to ensure that your personal and
payment details are communicated to us using the latest methods
of encryption to transfer information across the Internet
in the most secure way possible.
We will only use the information you supply to us for the
purposes supplying your orders and for assessment and analysis.
We will not pass on any of your details to a third party for
any reason.
Under the Data Protection Act you have a right to see any
personal records we keep about you, as long as you send us
a written request. Please write to the PO Box address in the
"Contact" section.
(All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation
checks and authorisation by the card user. This will happen
during the checkout process. Please note we can only accept
orders from holders of credit or debit cards registered at
UK addresses).
Age Restriction
You must be aged 18 years old to purchase alcohol. By placing
an order you confirm you are at least 18 years of age. All
goods must be signed for on delivery by an adult aged 18 years
or over. If no one of that age is at that address when the
delivery is attempted the goods will be retained by the driver
and redelivery will be attempted the following day as usual.
